Description
The Southern Hydraulics SH Series is a multi-stage, single-acting telescopic hydraulic cylinder designed to provide a long stroke from a compact retracted length.
With a 4–6-inch main bore body and rugged telescopic construction make it well suited for dump bodies, trailers, and other lifting applications where substantial extension is required.
Hydraulic pressure extends the cylinder, while retraction depends entirely on the weight of the load or another external force. A minimum of 1,000 lb. of downward force is required to retract this cylinder properly. The cylinder will not power-retract and should not be used in applications where the available retracting load is less than 1,000 lb.
